Swedish Walpurgis Bonfires - A sparkling Goodbye to the long winter and glowing flames of Welcome to the much-longed for Spring. The Swedes on high spirits when celebrating the end of the dark season, last day of April with bonfires, fireworks and choirs singing spring songs.

Wood, Tiles and Birches -  New wall and floor surfaces  ready and trees up. Next step:  a wood  staining colour on the walls and  paint  on the “Swedish Hut” .

Sunday April the 15th. Lots of Brighton Marathon runners on their way to Finish, on Madeira Drive. Just below on the Lower Promenade, the building work continues in the Oh So Swedish Studio.

Wooden walls up and studio floor soon ready with bright tiles. Soon reaching the FINISH with big steps!

Pride comes before a fall.  Sail vs Steam and 284 years between the sinking of RMS Titanic vs The Vasa Ship, both on their maiden voyages.

Salut and glory! The Swedish battleship Vasa went to the bottom, fully rigged and gun ports opened on her maiden voyage, just after 1300 m in Stockholm.

The Vasa Ship was sleeping in the mud during 333 years, on 32 meters depth, near Beckholmen/Stockholm until being lifted up to the surface 1961 by Anders Franzen and his team.

Luckily, Stockholm built on 14 islands can offer lots of seafront & green oasis, parks and wild nature, close to the City, like Långholmen, Hagaparken, Brunsviken, Årstaviken etc. At Långholmen, you could have an outdoor swim in lake Mälaren, opposite to the The City Hall!
